Non-league football: Battle Ground 64, Davis 6

Gunner Talkington threw five touchdown passes, giving him 77 for his career as the Tigers completed the 2016 season with a road win.

Talkington completed 17 of 30 passes for 295 yards to cap his three-year career as the team’s quarterback. It is believed his 78 touchdown passes are a 4A Greater St. Helens League record.

The Tigers on Friday were just as excited for Talkington getting an interception in the first game he has played defense in varsity football.

Max Randle led the Battle Ground receivers with 121 yards and a touchdown.

Bailey Buckner rushed for a score and caught a TD pass. Kalau Higgins caught two TD passes.
