The Interstate 5 offramp to Northeast 99th Street in Hazel Dell has reopened an hours long closure following a tractor trailer fire this morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The fire on the rig was first reported just after 6:30 a.m. and blocked two lanes of the road for about half an hour, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by the Columbian.

While the fire was put out, the rig’s cargo of cow feed was smoldering and needed to off-loaded, Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn said.

The offramp reopened at about 10 a.m.
