The Vancouver-based nonprofit Friends of the Carpenter raised $85,000 at its annual dinner and auction. Three-hundred people attended the sold out event Saturday at the Hilton Vancouver Washington.
“We are humbled by the generosity shown by the community members and supporters who attended our annual dinner and auction,” said Tom Iberle, executive director, in a news release. “The money raised will enable us to continue our daily work as a faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community.”
Friends of the Carpenter offers woodworking projects for clients and houses a day shelter for the homeless that is operated by Share.
