Jeffrey Mayolo ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns as LaCenter won its eighth consecutive game and capped off a perfect league season.

The Wildcats set the tone early with a first-possession touchdown drive of 14 plays for 59 yards in 7 minutes and 10 seconds. Mayolo scored for a 7-0 lead.

Jeremy Scott threw two second-quarter touchdown passes, one to Clint Black for 14 yards and a spectacular 37-yard catch by Evan Honore to take a 20-0 lead.

Castle Rock rallied and scored the next 13 points to make it a seven-point game at the half.

Two touchdown runs by La Center’s Brett Judd in the third quarter, however, put the game out of reach.

The Trico league champs will now host Forks next week in the district playoffs.
