Battle Ground — Laurin Middle School art teacher Tanya Bachman’s fifth- and sixth-graders spent some time Oct. 18 building birdhouses with help from Home Depot, 330 S.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Proceeds from the sale will go to the school’s art department. Home Depot donated supplies for the birdhouses, and employees from the store visited the school to help students.
