How and when you got started in your business: I’ve had a love for motorcycles and motor sports ever since I was a kid. I was living in Tampa, Fla., going to school and needed a job that would work with my school schedule. An opportunity came up for me in motorcycle used parts, and ever since then it took off. After doing that for about a year, I was hired at Tampa Motorsports as a sales representative, and from there I was promoted to a service adviser position. After about 2 1/2 years, I started at a Tampa performance shop called FJ Motorsports, where we sold all motorcycle accessories, and designed custom motorcycles for show and high horsepower. Several years later I was hired at Barney’s Motorsports, also in the Tampa area, as finance manager. My wife and I visited Washington state for a wedding, and that was it. My wife was hooked and we made the move to Vancouver. I applied at Pro Caliber Motorsports the first week after our move, and I have been happily here for the last three years.
Most rewarding part of job: Watching our customers leave with a smile on their faces after getting parts and gear for their fun adventures. It’s especially rewarding when we see kids find out that they are getting their first dirt bike, and they can’t stop smiling in excitement. It makes us enjoy what we do every day.
