A transient woman who allegedly robbed a US Bank branch in Vancouver on Friday made a first appearance Monday in Clark County Superior Court.
Jacqualyn M. Seib, 40, appeared on suspicion of first-degree robbery. Her bail was set at $30,000.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, a woman entered the US Bank at 8700 E. Mill Plain Blvd. and presented a note to a teller demanding cash and stating: “You have 15 seconds to do this and act normal.” The teller gave the woman an unspecified amount of money, including an electronic tracker, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court.
Vancouver police responded to the bank and obtained surveillance photos of the woman, later identified as Seib, as well as the demand note and a deposit slip that had been in Seib’s possession, the affidavit states.
A short time later, the tracking device pinged in the 6000 block of Riverside Drive, where police spotted Seib driving a blue Ford Ranger, court records said. Seib was detained and allegedly confessed to robbing the bank, according to court documents.
On Monday, Judge Derek Vanderwood appointed Vancouver attorney Shon Bogar to represent Seib. She will be arraigned Nov. 4.
