Nominees for Week 7 fall sports prep athlete of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian fall sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 22.

Athletes may win the honor once in during the regular season and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

MACKENZIE ELLERTSON, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN GIRLS SOCCER: Ellertson had seven goals and one assist in three wins for the Knights.

EMMA JENKINS, CAMAS GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Jenkins won the 4A district championship by 26 seconds.

SAMUEL JOHNSON, MOUNTAIN VIEW BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Johnson won the 3A district championship by 22 seconds.

ANDREW KABACY, SKYVIEW BOYS TENNIS: Kabacy won his second consecutive 4A district singles championship.

JACOB LARSON, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS GOLF: Larson was the 2A district runner-up, leading River to the team title.
