How Clark County college football players fared, Oct. 22

One player’s injury is another’s opportunity.

Will Warne seized his chance Saturday in Linfield’s 45-31 win over Whitworth.

With senior placekicker Cayman Conley sidelined with an injury, the Wildcats turned to Warne to handle all the kicking duties.

The Mountain View grad responded by making a career-long 41 yard field goal and all five of his extra point attempts.

After attending Hobart College for one year, Warne transferred to Linfield. He has done occasional kicking duties this season, but had never been the primary placekicker before Saturday.
