Vancouver police arrested a transient woman for suspicion of carrying out one of two bank robberies reported Friday.

Shortly after officers responded to the robbery reported at US Bank, 8700 E. Mill Plain Blvd., officers located the suspect leaving a residence, performed a traffic stop and detained her, Vancouver police Cpl. Neil Martin said.

The robbery was reported at about 5 p.m. Friday when the robbery suspect reportedly presented a note and demanded money, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian.

Jacqualyn Marie Seib, a 40-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery, Martin said. He added that she is a person of interest in a bank robbery earlier in the month.

She was not, however, associated with a robbery earlier in the day that involved a female robbery suspect.

Police responded to the Umpqua Bank at 11515 S.E. Mill Plain at about 11 a.m., but officers did not locate a suspect.

Martin said on Saturday that the suspect in the robbery Friday morning was still outstanding.
