Pumpkins are waiting to become jack-o’-lanterns this weekend at Joe’s Place Farms, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Check out the farm’s 35 pumpkin varieties and cornstalk teepee while enjoying hayrides, a fort maze, decorations, farm treats and corn maze at the local farm, 701 N.E. 112th Ave., Vancouver. The La Center Lions and the La Center Farms are teaming up for Frightland, a ghoulish attraction designed for ages 8 and older, complete with a Rigor Mortis Funeral Home and the Donner Party Cafe. Washington State University Vancouver Spanish Club will honor the traditions of Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with a night of celebration.
