Nominees for Week 8 prep football player of the week

Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 22. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

TYLER FLANAGAN, WOODLAND: Flanagan rushed for 85 yards and a TD, caught 4 passes for 52 yards and returned a kickoff 76 yards for TD.

CANON RACANELLI, HOCKINSON: Racanelli passed for a career-high 505 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to Hoquiam.

ANDRE SCHEER, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Scheer rushed for 207 yards and 3 TDs and passed for 106 yards and one TD in win over Prairie.

CURTIS STRADLEY, BATTLE GROUND: Stradley rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a league win over Heritage.

JEREMIAH WRIGHT, SKYVIEW: Wright caught 7 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns in a playoff-clinching win over Union.
