Gunnar Talkington threw for 269 yards and two scores and Curtis Stradley added 205 yards on the ground and two touchdowns as Battle Ground registered a big win over Heritage in a 4A Greater St. Helens league game at District Stadium in Battle Ground.
The Tigers (2-2 in league, 6-2 overall), who had their hearts broken in a last-minute loss to Skyview last week, had their hearts broken again by the Storm this week.
Battle Ground’s playoff hopes rested on Union beating Skyview but the Storm’s 43-28 win over the Titans gives Skyview the league’s No. 2 playoff seed.
Battle Ground scored all of its 33 points in the first half, finding the end zone on five straight first-half possessions.
