Hunter Pearson had a big game rushing, scoring two touchdowns and leading the Chieftains to a 2A GSHL win on the road in Longview.

River, which fell victim to the hook-and-ladder play last week, used it to its advantage this week with quarterback Jack Armstrong completing a pass to Dakota Mason, who lateraled the ball to Nathan Kunz for a touchdown that gave River a 21-14 halftime lead.

Kunz had a 75-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

River can wrap up the No. 2 seed to the district playoffs with a win over Ridgefield next Thursday.
