Take-back event set for unwanted medications

Vancouver – Clark County residents can dispose of unwanted medications at three free collection events this weekend in Vancouver and Battle Ground.

The following sites will accept medication from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday:

• PeaceHealth Memorial Health Center, 100 E. 33rd St., Vancouver.

• Kaiser Permanente Cascade Park, 12607 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

• Battle Ground Police Department, 507 S.W. First St., Battle Ground.

Controlled substances, such as pain killers, and non-controlled substances, such as over-the-counter medications, will be accepted at the event sites.

Unwanted medications also can be disposed of year-round at several collection sites across Clark County. For more information, search “medications” at www.recyclinga-z.com.
