WASHOUGAL — Drive state Highway 14 near Washougal? Have ideas on how the roadway could be better? Come to an open house hosted by the Washington State Department of Transportation and talk about it.

WSDOT wants public input on plans to improve access along that stretch of highway. Staff will be on hand to talk about design options, take feedback and answer questions.

The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Port of Camas-Washougal, 24 South A St., Washougal.

There will be no formal presentation; people are free to come and go. There is also an ongoing online survey soliciting public comments until Oct. 31.

WSDOT will use the information to establish project priorities and create design options. The options will then be presented to the public early next year for more comments.

The project website is: wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/SR14/accessimprove

The online survey is at: surveymonkey.com/r/KeepingWashougalConnected
