Clark County – On Tuesday, Leadership Clark County announced the winners of its 2016 Clark County Leadership Awards. LCC is a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic leadership development program that started in 1993 and has nearly 700 graduates.
• Dominique Merriweather, who graduated from the nine-month program in 2008, receives the Outstanding Alumnus Award.
• Former Vancouver City Council member Larry Smith receives the Community Leader Award, given to someone who didn’t graduate from the program.
• The Business Leadership Award goes to Riverview Community Bank for its community involvement and leadership.
The recipients will be honored from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the home of the late Ed and Dollie Lynch, located at 4712 N.W. Franklin St. Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.leadershipclarkcounty.com/awards.
