Bagley Downs — The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington received a $15,000 grant from the Mason E. Nolan Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, which will go toward medications and new blood pressure equipment. “Without free medications and blood pressure testing, many of our patients would end up in a hospital emergency room when their conditions become acute and where services are far more expensive,” Free Clinic Executive Director Barbe West said in a release from the organization. According to the same release, the Free Clinic has filled 8,000 to 10,000 prescriptions annually at no cost to patients since 2009.
