Evergreen officer honored for volunteer hours

East Vancouver — Evergreen High School resource officer Nick Landas was named volunteer of the quarter by the Vancouver Police Activities League. Landas was honored for his 140 volunteer hours at the activities league program at Evergreen, as well as for his work with Burton Elementary School’s Boys & Girls Club. The league is a nonprofit the looks to promote positive relationships between law enforcement officers and youth in the community through educational programs and recreational opportunities.
