King’s Way scored 28 points in the game’s first six minutes and cruised to a 52-28 victory over the visiting Castle Rock Rockets in Friday night.
The victory was the Knights’ first league win in 1A Trico league play and brought their record in league play to 1-1 and 5-1 overall. Castle Rock fell to 0-2, 1-5.
Senior quarterback Liam Nabors threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns, two each to Nick Pullicella and Matthew Garrison. The ground game was paced by Jonathan Stell who rushed for 120 yards and Luke Hoffman who recorded two touchdowns.
Senior lineman Ricky Torres returned a fumble for a touchdown and senior kicker Austin Lauser drilled a 42-yard field goal as well for the Knights, who play their last home game of the season next Friday against Columbia-White Salmon.
