Nominees for Week 6 prep football player of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Tuesday

Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Oct. 8. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

KEVIN AGUIRRE, PRAIRIE: Aguirre passed for 137 yards and two TDs and rushed for 96 yards and two more TDs in a win over Bay.

BAILEY BUCKNER, BATTLE GROUND: Buckner rushed for 93 yards in the second half and caught the go-ahead TD pass to beat Union.

LIAM NABORS, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN: Nabors passed for 295 yards and four TDs in a win over Castle Rock.

SAWYER RACANELLI, HOCKINSON: Racanelli caught 6 passes for 78 yards and a TD and returned an interception for a TD vs. Washougal.

JALEN WILLIAMS, RIDGEFIELD: Williams rushed for 140 yards and 1 TD in win over Mark Morris.
