Three Clark County schools honored

Three Clark County schools in Educational Service District 112 were named Schools of Distinction for improvement in English and math over a five-year period. The schools are among the top 5 percent improving schools in the state.

The schools are:

• Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary, Evergreen Public Schools.

• Benjamin Franklin Elementary, Vancouver Public Schools.

• Canyon Creek Middle School, Washougal School District.

The Center for Educational Effectiveness, the Association of Educational Service Districts, the Association of Washington School Principals, the Washington Association of School Administrators, the Washington State School Directors’ Association and the Washington State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development grand the award to schools across the state. This year, 94 schools received the award.
