Washougal — The Camas-Washougal Rotary Club continued its tradition of giving a personal dictionary to each third-grader in both cities recently.

Club members Nan Henriksen and Joyce Lindsay were at Cape Horn-Skye Elementary Nov. 14 at to hand out the books, each one with a book plate on the inside cover featuring the Rotary logo, the organization’s 4-Way Test and a place for the student to write his or her name.

The 4-Way test tells students they should work to uphold the truth, strive to be fair, endeavor to build good will in their community and seek to benefit the greater good with their actions.

“This is a book of powerful words that will be at your disposal for the rest of your life,” Lindsay told the students, according to a release from the school district.
