Esther Short — Windermere Stellar’s fourth annual Children’s Justice Center Gala Auction raised nearly $200,000 for the center, which works to serve victims of child abuse.

The event, which featured an “An Evening with The Great Gatsby” theme, had live and silent auctions. The total raised was 14 percent higher than last year’s gala. Since starting the gala, Windermere Stellar’s Vancouver branches have donated $481,300 to the Children’s Justice Center, according to a release from the real estate company.

“We’re proud to help provide a larger platform to organizations like the Children’s Justice Center so that they can continue to make a difference in the lives of children,” Gerry Dowdy Latshaw, designated broker of Windermere Stellar’s Vancouver metro office who organized the event, said in the same release.
