Battle Ground — The Fort Vancouver Chapter No. 19 of Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington celebrated their 70th anniversary at Savor The Moment Tea House on Nov. 12. More than 40 women were in attendance, including two families who were represented with three generations at the chapter’s celebration. “It warms my heart to see several generations of pioneer descendants,” President Sherry Lambert said in a release from the organization. “It would make your ancestors proud to see that you are passing on their pioneer heritage and keeping it alive. A saying we have is: ‘That a dream may live and a flame be kept.'” Members also shared stories of their Women of Brave Heart pioneer ancestors. Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month, and the club is accepting new members. For more information, call 360-600-9087.
