Clark County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a strong-armed robbery occurred early Wednesday morning.

The victim told authorities that he used the site OfferUp, where he found a knife he was interested in buying from another user, Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

The two agreed to meet at the parking lot of Winco Foods, 9700 N.E. Highway 99, at about 1:30 a.m., Neiman said.

The man selling the knife grabbed the cash from the victim without exchanging it for the knife and jumped in a car and sped away, Neiman said.

Neiman said that deputies are actively investigating the alleged crime and did not release any other information about the incident.
