The condition of a Vancouver teenager critically injured in a motorcycle crash two weeks ago was upgraded on Friday.

Keaten Wells is now in satisfactory condition at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

The 17-year-old was riding a motorcycle on Northeast St. Johns Road at about 8:15 p.m. Nov. 4, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

He was seen riding without his hands, popping wheelies and weaving in and out of traffic before crashing into a Jeep stopped to make a turn onto 65th Street, police said.

Wells was ejected and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he has remained in critical condition until Friday.

The driver of the Jeep was not cited, Kapp said.
