Clark County Public Health and Prevent! Clark County are hosting a video and graphics contest for youth to document why they choose not to use marijuana.
The Youth Now “Weed Can Wait” contest is open to people ages 12 to 20. The contest encourages youth to enter creative, high-impact messages to win cash and other prizes. Posters (hand-drawn or digital) and 30-second to 2-minute videos must illustrate the theme, “Why do you choose not to use?”
Entry instructions are available online at www.youthnow.us.
Clark County Public Health will lend video equipment to schools or youth groups that lack resources to create entries. For more information about the contest, or to borrow equipment, contact Long Vue at long.vue@clark.wa.gov.
The contest is part of the Youth Now prevention initiative. Funding for the initiative is provided by the Washington Department of Health through a prevention and education fund made up of marijuana tax dollars.
