Ridgefield resident places in state wool competition

Ridgefield — Heidi Coles, 20, of Ridgefield was named senior alternate winner of the Washington State Make It With Wool competition, held Oct. 29th in La Conner in conjunction with the Washington State Sheep Producers Association. Coles modeled a teal, rust and brown three-piece wool ensemble of a jacket, dress and leggings. She received a Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine as her prize. The senior division winner was Mia Suhrbier, 18, of Winlock. The contest was sponsored by the Washington Wool Growers Auxiliary and the Washington State Sheep Producers.
