Hazel Dell North — Vancouver-based National Women’s Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation was named a 2016 Top-Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits, a provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits. It’s the second time the nonprofit has earned the distinction, which is based on the rating and number of reviews received through GreatNonprofits. The coalition is known for its anti-violence national conferences and training institute, missing children’s division and Gift of Lift, a program providing bras to women and girls. “We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including finding and rescuing five teenage girls, hosting a successful Southwest Conference Against Trafficking with our partners at San Bernardino County and collecting and distributing over 12,000 bras to women and girls who need them,” Michelle Bart, president and co-founder of the organization, said in a release.
