Vancouver police are investigating after a man attempted to rob a downtown Vancouver bank Monday morning.

Officers responded to KeyBank, 714 Main St., just before 10 a.m. Monday after a man entered the bank and passed the teller a note, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The teller didn’t have a key to the drawer and could not give the suspect any money, Kapp said.

The suspect left empty-handed and was not found by police.
