Camas — Edward McAninch, a World War II veteran and retired physician from Camas, will be the featured speaker at the Camas-Washougal Historical Society’s annual meeting from noon to 2 p.m. today at Lacamas Lake Lodge, 227 N.E. Lake Road.

His presentation will focus on his time as a soldier, including his role in aiding a person who won the Medal of Honor. He will show several artifacts, including his recently awarded French Legion of Honor certificate and medal.
