Everybody Has a Story is looking for more

By Scott Hewitt, Columbian staff writer

It’s the morning after. Time to reset your brain. Why not tell your neighbors a story?

Everybody Has a Story is eager for new contributions. Every Wednesday, we run true tales by Clark County residents. Funny or serious, historical or current, far afield or right here at home — we keep finding our readers’ lives and experiences fascinating.

A few guidelines: Your story must be true. It must be no longer than 1,000 words, maximum — and shorter is always better. Focusing on a single anecdote, event or thread usually makes for the best stories; trying for your whole autobiography or family history in this small space is going to be tough.

Send your true tales to neighbors@columbian.com. Call “Everybody Has an Editor” Scott Hewitt, 360-735-4525, with questions.
