Nominees for Week 10 prep football players of the week

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Tuesday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Nov. 5.

Athletes may win the honor once in during the regular season and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian. This is the final football player of the week vote for the season.

KOBEN JAMISON, COLUMBIA RIVER: Jamison intercepted a pass and forced a fumble to lead the defensive effort for the Chieftains.

MICHAEL MATTHEWS, CAMAS: Matthews had nine tackles, two interceptions and ran for a touchdown in Camas’ win over Enumclaw.

GLEN PERRY, MOUNTAIN VIEW: Perry rushed for 174 yards and three TDs in the Thunder’s win over Bishop Blanchet.

JEREMY SCOTT, LA CENTER: Scott passed for 222 yards on 9-of-12 passing and three TDs and ran for another TD in a win over Forks.

JEREMIAH WRIGHT, SKYVIEW: Wright caught 11 passes for 214 yards and three TDs in a win over Olympia.
