Learn to make diabetic-friendly Thanksgiving foods

Legacy Salmon Creek is hosting a free event to teach people how to make diabetic-friendly versions of Thanksgiving favorites.

The cooking and tasting event is 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, conference rooms C and D, 2211 N.E. 139th St.

The event is open to people with diabetes and their family members. The event is free but only has space for 40 people. Reserve a spot by emailing, diabetescookingclass@lhs.org, or calling 360-487-2727, ext. 74823. Messages should include name, phone number and the number of people attending.

Registered dietitians Robin Hammon and Danielle Swearingen will host the event in partnership with Legacy Salmon Creek Food Services.
