Olympia – Amtrak Cascades is giving travelers options for getting around during the Thanksgiving season.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will give two additional train trips between Seattle and Portland around the holiday.
The two additional trains will leave Seattle at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 23 and Nov. 27, arriving in Portland at 4:45 p.m. They will depart Portland at 5:45 p.m. both days and arrive in Seattle at 10 p.m.
The Oregon Department of Transportation will add more buses between Portland and Eugene, Ore., to supplement the extra train rides. Also, Oregon’s trains will run on their weekend schedule Nov. 23 through Nov. 27.
