Fruit Valley — Friends of the Carpenter’s 14th annual dinner and auction on Oct. 22 raised $85,000 to support its ministry of services. The silent auction included more than 100 items, including gift baskets and heirloom quality woodworking items. The event was a sellout, with more than 300 people in attendance. “The money raised will enable us to continue our daily work as a faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community,” Tom Iberle, executive director, said in a release from the organization.
