PORTLAND — Delta Air Lines on Tuesday announced it would be offering nonstop service four days a week from Portland International Airport to Heathrow Airport in London starting next spring.
The seasonal service would kick off May 26, 2017, and run through Oct. 29, 2017. The move comes as Virgin Atlantic takes over Delta’s nonstop-to-London route from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
With the flight to London, PDX now has 11 nonstop international destinations, including three in Canada and three in Mexico. Overseas nonstop flights from Portland land in Amsterdam; Tokyo; Reykjavik, Iceland; and Frankfurt, Germany.
