The Clark County Board of Health is seeking a local social or human services agency representative to fill a vacancy on the Public Health Advisory Council.

The council, which advises county councilors in their capacity as the Board of Health, identifies needs and makes recommendations to enhance community health. Among the council’s current priorities are access to care, health inequalities, obesity, a sustainable food system and support for healthy children.

The council meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. July 8.

Applicants are asked to submit a letter and resume to Jennifer Clark, County Councilors Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, 98666-5000. Applications also can be faxed to 360-397-6058 or emailed to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov.
