Shumway — More than 30 volunteers from Charter Communications volunteered as part of Charter Our Community on May 14 and 15 to construct a wheelchair ramp for a Vancouver homeowner and help with brush cleanup and gutter repairs.

Charter our Community is the company’s volunteer effort to improve 25,000 homes by 2020. Since launching in 2014, the program has helped improve more than 1,100 homes nationally, according to a release from the company.

The volunteers worked with Evergreen Habitat for Humanity to complete the work.
