A burglar reportedly forced his way into an elderly woman’s home after the woman answered her door Sunday morning.
Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said officers responded to a burglary at a home near East Fifth Street and S Street around 7:15 that morning.
The woman there said her doorbell rang, and then when she answered the door, the man barged in an stole several items before leaving. She was unhurt, Kapp said.
The department’s major crimes unit was investigating.
