A two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Woodinville a 4-3 win over Skyview on Saturday in the 4A bi-district playoff game, ending the Storm’s baseball season.
Skyview, the No. 2 team from the 4A Greater St. Helens League, battled back from a 3-1 deficit with a two-run sixth inning.
Michael Copeland singled with one out and the bases loaded, scoring Jacob Olivarez and Avery Schmidt to make the score 3-3.
Skyview turned a double play to get out of the sixth inning unscathed, but went down in order in the top of the seventh.
Skyview scored the first run of the game in the first inning on Brody Barnum’s ground out that brought home Schmidt.
Woodinville took a 2-1 lead in its half of the first on a two-run single.
Schmidt was 3 for 3 with the two runs scored for Skyview (13-13).
3A bi-district
Columbia River finished third in the 3A bi-district tournament with a split of games Saturday at Auburn.
In their first game, Columbia River lost 3-2 to Central Kitsap in the eighth inning on a two-out single.
River took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Alex McGarry and an error.
In the second game, Dakota Mason and Nick Nygard combined on a three-hit shutout as the Chieftains beat Enumclaw 3-0.
Columbia River scored one in the third inning on a bases-loaded walk, and two in the seventh as McGarry hit an RBI double and Koben Jamison singled to score McGarry.
Columbia River (19-5) will next face Seattle Prep at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bellevue Regional in Bannerwood Park.
2A district
R.A. Long eliminated Hockinson 2-1 in the district tournament at Wheeler Field in Centralia.
No details from Hockinson were reported.
R.A. Long was then eliminated by Centralia in the third-place game, 11-6.
