A driver sustained serious injuries in a crash early Wednesday morning north of Orchards, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the single-vehicle crash in the 15400 block of Northeast 119th Street and found a vehicle off the roadway. It appeared that the vehicle had been traveling east when it crossed the westbound lane, entering a ditch on the north side of the roadway and striking a culvert before coming to a stop, the sheriff’s office said.

The only occupant of the vehicle suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle, deputies said. The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the driver’s condition was not available.

Detectives with the agency’s traffic unit are investigating what caused the crash.
