Man found in Bagley Downs home shot, died of homicide

Police are asking for witnesses, surveillance footage from nearby residences

The man found dead Monday in a Vancouver home was a victim of homicide and had been shot, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the man whose body was found in a Bagley Downs residence in the 4500 block of Nicholson Road just before 4 a.m. Monday. Police said there is no immediate threat to the public, though they would not release any more details about the crime. The investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, investigators said they were not ready to release the victim’s name because they are waiting on an investigation by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Detectives with the Vancouver Police Department’s major crimes unit area asking for the public’s help in solving the case.

They are looking to speak with anyone who traveled along Nicholson or Falk roads between Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and state Highway 500 from midnight to 1 a.m. Monday. They also want to talk to anyone who has home surveillance equipment that would have captured footage of those sections of roadway.
