A prediabetes class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at The Vancouver Clinic Salmon Creek for people diagnosed with prediabetes, impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance or metabolic syndrome.

Participants will learn about the diagnosis of prediabetes, create a meal plan, create a personal physical activity plan, learn how to reduce dietary fat while keeping flavor, learn how to interpret a food label and develop a plan for reasonable weight loss, if needed.

A Certified Diabetes Educator and registered dietician will lead the two-hour class, which is in conference rooms 1 and 2 at the Vancouver Clinic, 2525 Northeast 139th Street, Vancouver. The fee is $25.

Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact the clinic’s Endocrinology Department at 360-882-2778.
