A Carson man died early this morning in a single-vehicle crash on state Highway 14 about five miles east of Washougal, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Police said Christopher A. Bash, 30, of Carson was driving a 1992 Honda Accord east on the highway at Milepost 23 when the car went off the roadway and hit a tree at about 1:45 a.m. Bash was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, but he did not survive his injuries, according to the State Patrol.
