Light rain showers moved inland as planned late Tuesday but didn’t really amount to much. I measured the same as Pearson Field, .09 of an inch as of early Wednesday afternoon. Lingering sprinkles and light showers were forecast overnight but end today.
That brings us to Friday and the Mother’s Day weekend. Plan on warm and dry weather with highs in the 80s Saturday and upper 70s Sunday. Near perfect, I think.
Looking beyond into next week, fair weather with no rain is in the delightful forecast. We will see a typical June forecast with morning clouds and afternoon sunshine with highs in the 70s, which is still above average. Of course it depends how soon those clouds burn off, but pleasant afternoons with northwest breezes we all can take.
In general, we see lots of the morning clouds and afternoon sunshine in June, pretty typical. Some may call June a cloudy month overall. But wait, is it? Statistics show that May is cloudier than June. Yep it is. I say that now and watch, either May or June will for sure mess that statement up!
