I-5 SB in Portland clears after commute backup

The closure of the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at the Marquam Bridge in Portland has been cleared, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The closure caused heavy traffic throughout the morning in Clark County. The closure, caused by a crash that led to a spill of 100 gallons of diesel, blocked traffic on the highway from about 6 a.m. until about 10:30 a.m.
