Washougal — Nearly 200 attendees packed Gause Elementary School on April 20 for its second annual Gause Elementary Family Science Night. The event was organized and funded by the Gause Boosters club, with the support of Gause teacher Wendy Morrill. Gause teachers and members of the award-winning Washougal High School Science Olympiad team helped attendees explore experiments and hands-on activities at stations throughout the school cafeteria and gym. “Our goal for the evening was to reinforce the fun and importance of science, showing kids how it plays in their everyday world, even in play,” said Rona Ager, a Gause Booster member. “The best part for me, personally, was seeing everyone — kids and parents — doing the experiments and games, and sharing the fun with teachers and other members from their community.”
