Detectives with the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit are investigating a suspicious death at a motel in the Evergreen Shores neighborhood.
Officers were called to the Riverside Motel, 4400 Columbia House Blvd., at about 11:45 a.m. Monday when a manager went into a room and found a person unconscious and not breathing, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.
The agency is waiting on follow-up information from the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will determine the cause and manner of death, as well as identify the deceased, Kapp said.
